Women's Ministry
We hope that as women you experience friendship and encouragement from other women within the church. We want to cheer each other on and support each other as we pursue God's purpose for us as women and all that that entails as daughters, wives, mothers, grandmothers, sisters and friends. The following ladies gatherings are offered regularly throughout the year and we have special events throughout the year as well.
Ladies Prayer meets every other Wednesday morning at 10 am at Tanya Thiessen's home. This is a special time to pray for each other, for our families, our church and our community. We also have the opportunity to visit and re-connect each time over a great cup of coffee. Contact Liv Ebdon for more information.
Ladies Morning Out meets on Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:30. A morning of bible study, friendship, discussions, prayer and coffee and goodies for women of ALL ages. Childcare provided. Contact Ashley Teer for more information.
Moms and Tots is for Mothers of young children and babies. This group meets twice a month, usually on Monday mornings for play dates and occasional outings like the zoo, pumpkin patch, etc. Contact Natalie Nicholson for more information.
If you are expecting a baby (and the Abbotsford Vineyard is your church home) we would love to hear from you. We have some wonderful women who would love to prepare meals for you to help make the transition of bringing baby home as smooth as possible. We also have a gift basket for Mom and baby and would love to set aside a time to pray for you and bless Mom and baby. Please contact our New Mom's Ministry Coordinators, Sharalee Prang, Tracy Opp or Estera Hazlewood.
Women's Events: We meet every few months or so for special events (brunches, coffee evenings, etc.) Keep watching the website and/or bulletin for upcoming women's events or email Lisa to be added to our contact lisa.
This year's womens' retreat is planned for April 24-26th at Rock Ridge Canyon Retreat Centre. It will be a special weekend to get away with the purpose of spending time with God and deepening our relationship with Him and each other. There will be times to Worship, Read the Bible, Seek Him and be encouraged and renewed. There are opportunities to worship and learn together in a larger group setting as well as breaks to get away on our own to worship, pray, and enjoy His creation. Rockridge is a wonderful facility located in beautiful surroundings. Go for hikes/walks, spend time with friends in the coffee bar, play games, join one of the mini-workshops (several to choose from) or try the zip line! Cost for the weekend is $170.
