Frequently Asked Questions...
Our weekend Services offer practical messages in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. We use music and video to communicate Biblical truths that are relevant to your everyday life.
We gather“Come on in and welcome to the Vineyard. There’s a place for you and your coffee.” This is a typical way our weekend services begin. Nothing fancy. No ‘inside’ language. We gather as a group in a simple, informal atmosphere.
We worshipOur worship time is led by a full band (usually) in a style of music that makes intimacy with God easy and natural.
We study God's Word, the BibleEach teaching is Bible-based and practical, lending itself to real-life application. Our message is relevant for those who have a relationship with Jesus as well as those contemplating Christianity. We know that it's sometimes impossible to escape the difficulties of life, but we can equip ourselves with the truth in God's Word in order to meet these challenges head-on.
We prayWe seek God's guidance and presence. Individual prayer is available during each service.
We have fun!We laugh a lot. We believe that church should be enjoyable. All forms of dress are welcome here at the Vineyard. Most people dress casual. |
| Our Sunday morning service typically looks something like this… |
9:45 am |
Pre-service prayer. Everyone is encouraged to join us in the music room to pray! |
10:30am |
Or as close to it as possible (we’re pretty laid-back west-coasters, who are trying hard to start on time!) we begin our service, usually with the worship leader welcoming everyone. We then head into a time (roughly 30-40 minutes) of worshipping God together through songs (contemporary songs and older songs and hymns). |
11:15am |
Or there abouts, a pastor or leader will let the church know of some of the more important things going on. We then have a short break for our kids to get to Sunday’s Cool and for adults to grab a coffee before sitting down for the message. |
11:20’ish |
A pastor or leader from our church (or sometimes a friend from somewhere else who we really know and trust) will give a talk till about noon. This is a time focused on hearing what God has to say to us through the Bible and those he uses (like pastors) to speak truth to us. Often there’s a time after the message when individuals, couples or families can receive prayer. It may be in response to the message, or that they need prayer for physical healing or whatever else God has impacted them with. |
12:00pm |
Sometime between noon and 12:15 the service is over, parents pick up their kids from Sunday’s Cool, many hang around and chat with friends, people are praying for each other – a really good time, all around! |
